14 Rescued in Anti-Trafficking Operations in Malabon and Caloocan City
NCRPO- PMGEN Vicente D Danao Jr lauds the personnel of the Malabon City Police Station for their immediate action on the information provided by a confidential informant that led to the rescue of two Children in Conflict with the law (CICL) eleven (11) female minors and one (1) female of legal age on May 24, 2021 at about 3:10 PM and 4:40PM in Malabon and Caloocan City, respectively.
Initial investigation reports disclosed that prior to the conduct of the entrapment operations, a confidential informant from a Non-Government Organization (NGO) known as Destiny Rescue Philippines personally informed the authorities of Malabon City Police Station (MCPS) about an upcoming transaction of an alleged prostitution of minors in an undisclosed place in Malabon and Caloocan City. After coordination between concern units of Malabon CPS a team was formed to conduct an entrapment operation.
Consequently, a joint operation was conducted under the supervision of PCOL ALBERT T BARROT, Acting Chief of Police, Malanon CPS together with the elements of the Station Intelligence Section, led by PLT JOSEPH ALCAZAR, personnel of Women’s and Children Protection Desk led by PLT ALMOSA and assisted by the personnel of City Social Welfare Division Malabon resulted in the rescue of two (2) CICL, eleven (11) female minors and one (1) female of legal age and recovery of Ten (10) pieces of One-thousand-peso bill with a total of Php10,000.00.
