In its endeavour for lasting peace and solidarity, the National Capital Region Police Office has been reaching out and lending a hand to Muslim Communities. Today, Chief PNP, PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, together with the Regional Director of NCRPO, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR, spearheaded the Simultaneous Ramadhan Distribution of Sadaqah with muslim community as part of Ramadhan Celebration 2021 at Covered Court, Salaam Community, Brgy. Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City.
C, PNP and RD NCRPO along with PBGEN ANTONIO C ACORDA JR, DRDO; PBGEN ANTONIO C YARRA, DD, QCPD; PCOL EDUARDO C ABADAY, Deputy Director, PCADG; PCOL JERRY PROTACIO, Chief, CAD ,DPCR; PCOL EBRA M MOXIR, CHS; PCOL ANTHONY MAGHARI, DDDO, QCPD; PCOL JULIUS C SURIBEN, Chief, RCADD, NCRPO; PCOL LAMBERT A SUERTE, FORCE COMMANDER, RMFB; PLTCOL JOEL ADA, AC, CADD, DPCR and other officers of NCRPO, PCADG and DPCR led the Ramadhan Distribution of Sadaqah at Brgy. Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City. Similar activity was conducted simultaneously to the different areas in Metro Manila under the jurisdiction of the five (5) Police Districts of NCRPO as follows:
- Brgy Culiat, Quezon City, divided into streets Mujahideen, Sulu,
Maguindanao St ,Cotabato
Lanao St, Libyan St;
Basilan St, Asalaam St, and
- Brgy Holy Spirit, Quezon City;
- Brgy Fairview, Quezon City;
- Mandaluyong City
- San Juan City;
- Pasig City;
- Brgy Baseco, Tondo,Manila;
- Quiapo, Manila
i.Bagumbayan, Taguig City;
- Blue Mosque, Maharlika, Taguig City;
- White Mosque, Muslim Community, Samata Village, Brgy Talon Singko, Las Pinas City; and
- Caloocan City which aims to aid with needs of the residents amid the health crisis that plague the world.
A total of 8,000 food packs, health kits and other goods were distributed properly and systematically to all the Muslim brothers and sisters regionwide.
Said food packs were given to the beneficiaries through house to house distribution wherein a chair was placed infront of their houses. Likewise, each area were personally supervised by officers of NCRPO in coordination with Barangay Officials and muslim leaders of different tribes.
To ensure strict observance of existing health protocols, police officers manned the areas and assured proper wearing of facemasks, faceshields and maintenance of social distancing at all times.
To this end, Muslim leaders expressed their gratitude to NCRPO for their unending support to the Muslim Communities. In return, they committed to support programs and projects against criminality, terrorism, illegal drugs, among others to sustain the peace and order in the country.
In his message, PGEN SINAS emphasized that the distribution of relief goods has become a tradition under his stint which started when he was in PRO7. On behalf of the Team PNP, NCRPO, QCPD, and other supporters, CPNP extended his gratitude for all the help that the residents rendered and cooperation they showed. “Nagpapasalamat tayo sa lahat, kay Allah, sa Diyos. Sa huli tayo ay mag vault in para po sa ikakaunlad ng bayan natin,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, PMGEN DANAO expressed his aspiration that all Filipinos of diverse beliefs be united in quest for a lasting peace and order in the community, ensure public safety, equality and progress under a firm conviction to One Almighty God. He also acknowledged the efforts and cooperation shown by Brgy. Culiat during the activity.
“Kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng tulong at kooperasyon na ipinapakita ninyo lalong lao na po ngayon. Sana po ay tuloy-tuloy ang ating kooperasyon sa bawat isa tungo sa maayos at mapayapang komunidad,” he said.###
