NCRPO- PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR., Regional Director commends the Station Drug Enforcement Unit together with Station Investigation Section of Makati City Police Station for the successful arrest of a retired marine in a drug sting on February 9, 2021 at about 6:15PM along no. 123 Block 5 Avocado Street, Barangay West Rembo, Makati City.
Investigation disclosed that subject person was identified as Rufino Advincula Jr. y Riel also known as Yubert, 53 years old, retired marines and a resident of Barangay West Rembo, Makati City.
Further investigation disclosed that upon confirmation of the information provided by a confidential informant, and conduct of surveillance and monitoring regarding the illegal activities of the subject person, a buy-bust operation was plotted. The subject person was arrested after a poseur buyer was able to purchase one (1) heat piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth PHP50, 000.00. Following the
consummation of the transaction and a pre-arranged signal, the suspect was arrested. He was also appraised of his constitutional rights.
Seized from the suspect’s possession and control are the following pieces of evidence: eight (8) pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance of suspected Shabu with an estimated weight of 200 grams and with standard drug price of Php 1,360,000.00; one (1) red pouch; two (2) pieces of Php 1, 000.00 genuine bill used as buy bust money and forty-eight (48) pieces of Php 1,000.00 boodle money used as buy bust money.
Meanwhile, suspect is currently under the custody of Makati City Police Station while a case is referred to the Station Investigation and Detective Management Section for further investigation and proper disposition.
PMGEN DANAO stated that the continuous success of Team NCRPO’s anti-illegal drug operations in the region entails its commitment to carry on effective schemes in eliminating any form of illegal drugs activities in the country. “With the support of other law enforcement agencies and the public, we will intensify our anti-illegal drug campaign to accomplish more gains to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.” PMGEN DANAO added. ###
