2019 Women's with Disabilities Got Talent

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) through the office of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division-Family Juvenile Gender and Development Section (RCADD-FJGADS) participated in the celebration of Women with Disabilities Got Talent held on March 27, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sky Dome, SM City.
The activity was attended by PLT VIRNA B AQUINO, C, FJGADS-RCADD, PSSgt Diana S Chavez, Action PNCO FJGADS-RCADD, NUP Josie C Austero, Action FJGADS, NUP, RCADD and NCRPO Fitness Team together with the representatives from National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), DOLE, DPWH, PIA, DSWD, Phil. Association of Photographers, Local Government Units in Metro Manila, NGOs that provided services to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The activity aims to promote and protect the rights of women with disabilities of our society geared toward their empowerment and full participation in all aspects of human endeavor.
The event was graced by Ms. Bernadette D. Velasco, of SM City Mall Manager; Congresswomen Bernadette C. Herrera-Dy of House of Representatives and Dir. Carmen Zubiaga of NCDA. The NCRPO Fitness Team performed their trending/ viral dance moves which was applauded by the audience. Further, women and children with disabilities showcased their talents through singing, dance number and drum and lyre musical presentation.
Likewise, the NCRPO through RCADD personnel distributed 100 pcs Sandata on Sakuna (SOS - whistle, flashlight with compass) as a small token to the performers and other guests. IEC materials on Magna Carta for Women (RA 9710) were distributed among the participants.
