"Operational readiness is nothing without personnel who are trained and capable", stated NCRPO Regional Director Joel Pagdilao as he inspected the showdown of equipment of the Regional Public Safety Battalion.
In line with the National Capital Region Police Office’s commitment to preparedness and readiness in any eventuality such as calamities/natural disasters, hostage crisis, bomb threat, internal security operation and other anti-criminality program, the members of the RPSB conducted Showdown Inspection and Capability Demonstration today (May 19, 2016) at the NCRPO firing Range, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.
The RPSB is considered as the “Muscle Unit” of the NCRPO - the first to step in and last to step out of the ground during any untoward eventualities. It has 2,420 strong and trained personnel responsible for quick response and rapid deployment for security coverage, civil disturbance management, search and rescue operation and many others.
PDIR Joel D Pagdilao, Regional Director, NCRPO lauded the RSPB led by PSSUPT Lawrence B Coop for its preparedness and readiness after he witnessed the activity.
Pagdilao expressed his confidence that the NCRPO through the RPSB is prepared and ready to act for more challenges. However, he reiterated his order not to be complacent. “Every police should be prepared, ready, and be well trained to ensure that all police response will be effective and productive.” He said.
Pagdilao also reminded RPSB personnel to keep their equipment serviceable, available, and accessible for any situation that may arise. ###
