In line with the National Capital Region Police Office’s (NCRPO) strict implementation of Internal Cleansing Program, NCRPO Regional Director, PDIR Oscar D Albayalde vowed to impose strict discipline particularly to police rookies.
Albayalde himself caught three (3) police rookies inside Camp Bagong Diwa premise who did not render the proper protocol. These police rookies have just completed their Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) in trainings Center in Lucena and Isabela and were supposed to be deployed in the field for another six months of training. However, Albayalde noted that these police needed more discipline and police orientation before serving the public as police trainees.
He directed the Regional Training and Education Division to conduct retraining/reorientation of the 808 new police recruits before deploying to the field for their field training. The training will focus on discipline, courtesy and proper patrolling.
Moreover, Albayalde signed an order that requires additional month of training after the PSBRC. The training will focus on discipline, courtesy and proper patrolling. This is to ensure that police are well-discipline and courteous before the exposure to the public. He believe that a well-discipline and courteous police is more effective on their duties and the public will not hesitate to ask for help.
On the other hand, Albayalde reminded inattentive police while on duty. Texting while on duty particularly for beat patrollers is strictly not allowed.
NCRPO will implement a one (1) strike policy to the Police Community Precinct (PCP) Commanders while three (3) strike policy to the Chiefs of Police or Station Commanders who fail to supervise their personnel, caught texting or using their cellular phones not in office function while on duty. NCRPO’s Red Team will roam around Metro Manila to monitor if police performance while on duty.
Albayalde encouraged the public to report inattentive police while on duty.
“It’s the time to put responsibility in every Chiefs of Office to improve the level of discipline and control to their personnel,” Albayalde said.
Meanwhile, the NCRPO’s Regional Legal Service is working closely with Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS) to hasten the investigation of the charges filed against the 167 erring policemen. ###
MPD ALL SET FOR TONDO AND PANDACAN FEASTS
The Manila Police District sets forth guidelines to ensure the peaceful conduct of the Feast of Sto Niño de Tondo and Pandacan this January 14-15, 2017.
