The deployment will include Road Safety Marshalls in strategic areas along the routes to and from cemeteries and other areas of convergence to provide immediate police and security assistance to public. Beat Patrollers and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experts will secure community key areas, places of convergence, vital and financial installations to preempt terroristic activities.

Albayalde emphasized the strict implementation and monitoring on the prohibition of bladed weapons, flammable materials, liquors, wine and other alcoholic beverages, gardening tools, deadly buckles, loud speakers and gaming cards inside the cemeteries to preserve solemnity and peace in the place.
On the other hand, Albayalde solicits the public’s cooperation and support. He reminded the public to be alert and vigilant against any suspicious persons and activities and encouraged them to report immediately to the established Police Assistance Desks in 99cemeteries and nearest police stations.
He also reminded those who will travel to the provinces to secure their respective homes, unplug electrical appliances and make sure that all points of entry are locked.
Motorists travelling to the provinces are also reminded to check their vehicles’ “blowbagets” (battery, light, oil, water, brakes, air, gas, engine, tire and self) condition before embarking on a trip. Traffic Rerouting Scheme will be advised on October 29, 2016.
“Magtulungan po tayo para sa isang ligtas, maayos at mapayapang paggunita ng UNDAS 2016,” Albayalde stated. ###
