Ika-119 Anibersaryo ng Proklamasyon ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas (119TH Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence Day)
Press Statement of PDIR Oscar D Albayalde RD, NCRPO
While we mourn for the loss of lives in Marawi, allow me to express that the NCRPO condemn this act of terrorism by the ISIS inspired Maute group seeking recognition. I strongly agree with the Brigadier General Restituto Padilla that NCR is safe and will remain safe & secured from terror acts if we remain vigilant, alert, and aware.
We encourage the public at large to report any suspicious person, packages, or activities to the nearest police station so that we can properly, appropriately & timely respond. On the other hand, we seek everyone's help, especially our Fellow Filipinos from the quad media, bloggers and other social media users; let us render useless the inaccurate propaganda of this terrorist group by posting only factual and verified information.
Rest assured that all our security forces in the metro are all in place. We have maintained our highest level of alert since last year; the NCRPO is on FULL ALERT STATUS- our security protocol: we are able and ready to address any eventuality in the region.
On other matters, we are presenting today the photos of the remaining 9 at large police officers involve in the recent Malabon kidnapping and extortion incident. We reiterate our previous call to the public to help us by providing any information of their whereabouts. Additionally, the President has announced 2M bounty for each person.
Finally, on this crucial time, we must all join hands and build a narrative of peace. This is a matter of good over evil. We must have in mind the interest of our region, of our country. Let us not allow the interest of people inflicting fear and unrest win. Let us all remain responsible, vigilant citizens. The TEAM NCRPO repeats its call that PEACE is every citizen's concern.
