After hiding for more than five years, a wanted man who was charged for the crime of rape was finally arrested by the agents of National Capital Region Police Office’ Intelligence Division through a manhunt operation hatched by a series of surveillance, monitoring and lateral coordination at about 7:15 AM of June 16, 2019. Intelligence police operatives under the direction of the NCRPO Regional Director, PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR were able to arrest JERALD MARAVILLA y VALBAREZ, 38 years old, married, construction worker and a resident of Papaya St., Blk 15 Lot 14 Olivarez 7 Homes, Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Binan, Laguna by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Judge Mariam G. Bien, RTC Br 153, Taguig City for the crime of Rape docketed under criminal case no. 152837 dated April 2, 2014. Case record revealed that at about 2:30 pm of June 21, 2013 at No. 16 Kasoy St., Zone 1, North Signal Village, Taguig City, one @Angel, 22 years old was allegedly raped by MARAVILLA. Investigation showed that the victim was inside her room where the assault took place. He also threatened to harm her if she will report the incident to anyone. The accused was detained at the Regional Intelligence Division’s detention facility for documentation prior return to the court of origin. “The days of these malefactors sought by law are numbered as we will not stop our intensified campaign to hunt them down. We will continue to find means in order to arrest and put them behind the bars of justice as we vow to eradicate all forms of lawlessness in the National Capital Region,” PMGEN ELEAZAR said. #TeamNCRPO #PIOncrpo #RdEleazar
