NCRPO CHIEF PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the anti-criminality effort of the Makati City Police Station which led to the arrest of GCQ violators inside a bar at about 5:35 pm of June 28, 2020.
According to the initial report, the operation stemmed from a complaint from Makati City Hall about an alleged GCQ violation particularly drinking liquor and violation of social distancing protocol happening inside Skye Bar located in the 18th Floor, M1 Tower, 141 H.V. Dela Costa St, Brgy Salcedo Village, Makati City.
Thereafter, joint personnel of the intelligence, SOPS and TMRU verified the report and confirmed that indeed there were customers drinking liquor in each table. Further observation disclosed that several of them were also violating social distancing.
Consequently, one of the Bar owners identified as Felix Maramba y Pericet and 112 other personalities wherein 70 were males and 43 were females were apprehended.
Among the arrested were 19 foreigners belonging to the following nationality to wit:

3 Irish males
1male and 5 Taiwanese females
1 Korean male
1 American male
1 female from New Zealand
2 Australian males
1 Thai male
1 female from Hong Kong
1 Brazilian male
The apprehended personalities were brought to Makati City Police Station for booking procedure and filing of cases for violation of R.A. 11332 in relation to Art 151 of the RPC or Simple Disobedience to a Person in Authority and Executive Order No. 10 (An Order Implementing Strict Social Distancing in the City of Makati to Control and Limit Exposure to COVID 19)
The arrested persons were temporarily housed/detained in the Brgy Guadalupe Nuevo Gym, Makati City pending the filing of cases in court.
“I commend the successful operation of the Makati City Police Station which led to the arrest of the suspects and one of the owners of the establishment for alleged violation of GCQ related protocols. Further, I would like to send my appreciation to the informants for their indispensable aid which led to the success of the police operation,” PMGEN SINAS said.
